Al-Imam Al-Allamah 1442839dgsymauo2v Al-Habib Muhammad bin Ali bin Al-Ethiopia Husin was born on 24 Shawwal 1259 H Juma'at in Qasam, a country town in Hadhramaut.

He grew up under the care and supervision of his parents: his father, Al-Imam Al-Arif Billah Husin bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ethiopia and his mother; As-Syarifah Alawiyyah bint Husayn ibn Ahmad al-Hadi al-Jufri, which at that time known as a woman who solihah very wise.

At a very young age, Habib Ali Al-Ethiopia has been studied and would complete the Quran and managed to master the sciences and the inner zahir before reaching the age that is usually required for it. Religious meetings were held on various occasions. Educational institutions and science majlis-majlis set up in many places, so that their benefits can really be felt in a very broad scope.

He died in the city Seiwun, Hadhramaut, on Sunday 20 Rabi 'End of 1333 H and left several sons who have obtained the best education of his own, who continued his ideals in the preaching and religious broadcasting.

Among his sons are known in Indonesia is the son of bongsu; Al-Habib Alwi bin Ali Al-Ethiopia, the founder of the mosque "Riyadh" in the city of Solo (Surakarta). He is known as cloning a very noble mind and character, gentleness, courtesy, and hospitality to anyone, especially the weak, needy, orphans and so on. His home was always open for guests from various groups and have never deserted from the lectures and religious meetings. He died in the city of Palembang on the 20th of Rabee H. Preliminary 1373 and was buried in the city of Surakarta.
